Can I paint over dried tile adhesive?

if the adhesive wont come up (have you tried a hammer and chisel?) you could use a self leveling compound and lay it over the floor, im not sure on what you are describing though so i dont know if that will be any good, if you could send me a pic ill be able to tell you
