How do i make my fingers seem thinner?

I'm not fat, I'm 5"4' and 110 lbs, i just have stubby short fingers :( how can i make them thinner and longer or at least appear that way? I've heard long nails and certain nail polish colors can make them appear longer? Thanks :)
