I need to get internet on ps3!?

I did everything in network settings, put in security key but it didn't work. It said check your security settings for your wireless IAN. So I went on my laptop, went on manage wireless networks, clicked on my network, clicked shared because it said personal meaning the connection is going to my laptop. My security type of router is WPA-2/PSK. My security key is definitely the right one, without capitals. signal strength is always good. But when I clicked on shared from my laptop on manage wireless networks my security key didn't work, and the security type changed from WPA to WEP. Can anybody tell me what's going on?
