This breed requires more socialization than most. You might consider getting into an obedience cl taught by a knowledgeable, legitimate instructor. Not only would it get your dog used to the idea of focusing on you and working while there are other dogs/people around, a good instructor could also demonstrate ways to deal with the training issues you're having.
